A New Chapter in Education Begins Now

South Africa’s education system stands at a pivotal moment. While the Department of Basic Education has made commendable progress in increasing enrolment and learner performance, systemic challenges remain especially in science, technology, mathematics, and business education. The reality is sobering: a severe shortage of qualified teachers in high-demand fields is undermining the country’s potential to compete and thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy.

To address this urgent national and continental challenge, Regenesys Education proudly announces the establishment of the Regenesys School of Education, a new and transformative school dedicated to developing future-ready teachers who are more than equipped to meet the demands of the 21st century.

Introducing the Bachelor of Education in Senior Phase and Further Education and Training Teaching. The flagship offering of this launch is our CHE-accredited Bachelor of Education degree, specialising in:

  • Science
  • Technology
  • Mathematics
  • Business and Management

This programme aims to equip aspiring teachers with both subject knowledge mastery and pedagogical knowledge excellence, preparing them to lead with confidence in varying educational contexts, whilst igniting innovation, and driving economic growth by cultivating the next generation of critical thinkers, problem solvers and entrepreneurs. Why This Matters
  • Urgent Need, Bold Response: With UNESCO forecasting a shortfall of 44 million teachers globally by 2030  including 15 million in Sub-Saharan Africa, the need for action is clear.
  • STEM and Business at the Core: South African learners are falling behind in international benchmarks like TIMSS and PIRLS. Regenesys is stepping up to address this gap.
  • Empowering Purpose-Driven Pre-service Teachers: Our curriculum integrates transformative pedagogies, epistemic justice, and inclusive education, aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education for All.
